AntiRootkit Scan; Asisstance nedeed
« on: January 26, 2016, 02:50:30 AM »
Hello, im having trouble understanding some stuff about rougekiller (I might as well say that english is not my mother language, so bear with me please). I´ll try to be as brief as possible so lately im being into giving my pc the regular maintainance that it needs, so after a couple hours I ran with this program. Im being using it and its great, but recently doing my kinda scheduled scan i ran with a few rootkits and im completly lost (mostly because im new to this). I hope you can help me, also if you can tell me some way to keep my pc healt is really welcome.
I´ll send you the report.
Anyhow thanks for your assistance

Hi Mrclowd,

Welcome to Adlice.com Forum
If you speak french, I do as well. :)

Which security softwares are you using ?
Do you use CD/DVD drive emulator, like DAEMON Tools or similar ?

Regards.

Hi, Thanks for replying.
My Antivuris is Avast, I use other stuff but mostly for backup like malwarebytes and SAS, other stuff like adwcleaner and of course rouge killer.
I used Deamon Tools a while ago but i ended up uninstalling it, mostly beacuse a friend got in trouble with it (his laptop didnt started normally); and thats pretty much it.
If i take a wild guess problably deamon tools made them, anyway ill wait for your guidance.

Thanks again
-MrC

Hi Mrclowd,

You are welcome.
The IRP hooks are indeed remnants of DAEMON Tools. No need to worry about them.
On the other side, the IAT hooks are false positives. We will fix this as soon as possible.

Regards.
