Malwarebytes Update to 4.2.12?
« on: March 13, 2020, 05:38:57 PM »
UCheck is reporting a new update for Malwarebytes, but there is no news of any stable update on the Malwarebytes Forums, and manual update checks using MBAM do not report any updates, on both of my computers.  This might be a beta update, but I don't participate in beta update testing.

Please advise.  Thank you and have a great day.

Regards,
-Phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for your feedback, as always.
There indeed seems to be an issue. Could you please confirm that you currently use MalwareBytes version 4.1.0.56 ?

Regards.

Curzon:

Indeed, I am using the current stable build of Malwarebytes Premium for Windows.

I did not download the UCheck MBAM version offered because there is no official word from Malwarebytes on their Forums of a later version, and manual MBAM checks from within the app were negative.

As I said, this could be a beta version, but I do not participate in beta testing for anyone.

I hope this helps.  Have a great day.

Hi Phil,

MalwareBytes version 4.2.12 is nowhere to be found, maybe closed beta.
However, we have identified the issue and it will be commited to production as soon as possible.

I will keep you updated.

Regards.

As always, thank you.  I am surprised that you haven't banned me yet! ;)  I bet you are sorry you ever sold me a premium UCheck subscription! 8)

Seriously, you and your team are doing a great job, and the quiet nature of your Forums speaks clearly to the quality of your products and personnel.  :)

Have a great weekend.

Same problem here.  UCheck reporting MBAM 4.1.0.56 has been updated, but I can't find it.  Glad you are fixing it. Thanks.

Curzon:

It is fixed.  I just ran a scan.  It found a new version of "Everything", but nothing else.

Thank you for the quick fix.

Have a great day.

This same thing seems to be happening again.   MalwareBytes version 4.2.12 is showing as an update again on UCheck but is nowhere to be found at MalwarBytes.  Could this still be Beta?  Thanks.

Curzon:

I am unable to replicate the issue on my computer either.  Windows 10 Pro x64, fully updated.  UCheck version 3.7.1.0 (latest)

Have a great day.
