UCheck / UCheck Incorrectly Reports That Winzip Needs To Be Updated
« on: April 02, 2021, 06:27:50 PM »
Curzon:

Today UCheck reported that Winzip needed to be updated.  Interestingly, both the old and new versions have the same Build Designation (winzip_1.jpg).  When I authorized UCheck to download and install the WinZip update, it wanted to remove Winzip (I have the licenced Pro version) (winzip_2.jpg).  When I launch WinZip Pro Version 25, it informs me that I can the latest version (winzip_3.jpg).

Scan report (winzip.txt) attached.

Thank you and have a great day.

Regards,
-Phil

UCheck / Re: TeamViewer Updates Not Being Reported
« on: March 27, 2021, 04:52:01 PM »
Curson:

I was running the latest version of UCheck yesterday and today.  Obviously UCheck is not going to find a TeamViewer update today, since I updated it manually in TeamViewer yesterday.

In any event, I am attaching the scan report from today.

I hope this helps.  Have a great day.

-Phil

UCheck / Re: TeamViewer Updates Not Being Reported

Curzon:

That is the new version that I manually installed today: Version 15.16.8, dated 15 March.  UCheck might know the most current version but something must be not working right if TeamViewer is not detecting my computers were running an older version ... ?

UCheck is otherwise working: it found updates for Notepad++ and Calibre today.

Have a great weekend.

-Phil

Curzon:

Your TeamViewer scraper is still missing TeamViewer updates.  I ran UCheck Premium on both of my computers today, and both missed a TeamViewer update, which I found by manually launching TeamViewer and checking for an update.

Submitted for your information.  Have a great weekend.

UCheck / TeamViewer Updates Not Being Reported
« on: March 05, 2021, 06:14:18 PM »
Twice in the last month, UCheck has failed to identify that new updates to TeamViewer were available.  I only found out because when I launched TeamViewer, it told me that there were new updates available.

Thank you and have a great day.

UCheck / Notepad++ Update Not Downloading Version 7.9
« on: October 04, 2020, 12:37:14 PM »
UCheck is reporting an update for Notepad++ (Version 7.9), but as soon as I click "Download", the box turns red with an "X".

When I launch Notepad++, and tell it to check for updates, it says there are no updates to Version 7.8.9.

The Notepad++ website states that there is Version 7.9.  I manually downloaded Version 7.9 and it installed properly.

Not sure if the issue is your end, or their end.  Submitted for your information.  Have a great day.

UCheck / Re: Would You Consider Adding Smart Switch to UCheck?
« on: July 30, 2020, 07:43:00 PM »
Curzon:

Thank you for looking into my suggestion.  Too bad.  It would have been nice to have UCheck take care of those updates as well, but if there is no info published by Samsung, then UCheck is stymied.

Have a great day.

UCheck / Would You Consider Adding Smart Switch to UCheck?
« on: July 29, 2020, 08:42:06 PM »
Smart Switch is freeware that is used to transfer data between Samsung phones, but most importantly, in my view, I use it to backup the entire contents of the Samsung mobile to my computers on a weekly basis.

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration of this request.  Have a great day.

RogueKiller PREMIUM / Re: Minor Issues
« on: May 28, 2020, 07:44:20 PM »
Tigzy:

Thank you for the explanation of the slow launch.

RogueKiller does not appear anywhere on the Task Bar, but I have not checked "Show Hidden Icons" in the past, so it could have been hiding there.

I have uninstalled RogueKiller Premium from both of my computers, so I cannot provide any logs.

Have a great day.

RogueKiller PREMIUM / Minor Issues
« on: May 27, 2020, 06:57:17 PM »
I have just again updated RogueKiller Premium to the latest version using UCheck.  I have consistently noticed that even though I check off to launch RogueKiller after an update, it never launches automatically.  I have to manually launch it to confirm that the program has updated.

The second minor issue is that there is a pronounced lag between when I click on RogueKiller to launch it and when it finally appears on the screen after agreeing to the UAC prompt.  The time lag is 15 seconds on my computer.  I have attached my specs.  My desktop is reasonably high performance and nothing else is running (I don't multi-task much).  Perhaps a "Loading RogueKiller" message during the launch delay would be a nice addition to the program.

Have a great day.

-Phil

UCheck / Re: Malwarebytes Update to 4.2.12?

I am unable to replicate the issue on my computer either.  Windows 10 Pro x64, fully updated.  UCheck version 3.7.1.0 (latest)

Have a great day.

It is fixed.  I just ran a scan.  It found a new version of "Everything", but nothing else.

Thank you for the quick fix.

Have a great day.
