RogueKiller / Firefox false/positives, GUI submit, Forum topic
« on: November 25, 2020, 02:33:12 AM »
Ok, PUM.Proxy (Potentially Malicious)] network.proxy.type Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\dti9uv80.--\prefs.js really tired of this false positive since switch to DNS over HTTPS. This is turning up all the time and is clean by every program. Your wasting my time with this. You have a history of this issue and always saying will get it fixed. How about fix it period !

The program GUI after Reports, it makes no sense of what it wants to do or does in it's interface.  It is also not worth my trouble until you make clear in the GUI what to do. No I do not read instructions as the interface should be clear and direct and concise as should the web page address it uploads to.  Since before 1995 been using computers and I have not seen so much unclear information on a program that supply's important protection,  nor the same persistent false/positives and the same old answer.

The interface for reports needs work so that when I click on the scan date the frigging thing opens as a text file instead of a useless interface page that makes me click again to open a text file.
More thought and work needs to go into uploading what it finds in scan, like upload, yes or no, add comment. What more does some one need. Shaking head of making it more difficult than it has to be.

Forum, this was trying to be placed in topic heading False/Positives but no way to start a new entry.  All blockers are turned off so where was the button for new entry in False Positives?
Instead am forced to put this here.  Please move to appropriate place other than the trash.

False Positive also make a dedicated subject title for the topic as ones I found can not do anything but reply.

ok,  Seems it is Cyberlink Power DVD (bought) by what I can figure out. Yes is possibly a pup as they keep wanting you to buy or upgrade or update to upgrade.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ControlSet001\Services\CLFCL5.15
and file which has been scanned by Virus Total, Malwarebytes, Norton which is found as no problems.
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CLFCL5.15\000.fcl

Find scan logs and file attached.

Hi, you can close this. It is memory resident, same as last time.  Gone after reboot, open Firefox then close, and then scan and is clear.

Has to be some site am not suspecting as did not travel far.  Thanks

Continued False Positive of Firefox.  Submitted last time and was told prob went to a site that had EICAR on it.

Unfortunately I do not think that is the case.  I may do Support for Firefox but not been to many sites today
That could possibly have done that to Firefox.exe and it is marking all Processes 7 as Eicar.
Norton Internet Security full system scan today, Malwarebytes early eve daily and uploaded to Virus Total.
Nothing found.
