News/Updates / Re: RogueKiller V10 Beta
« on: January 06, 2015, 08:41:22 AM »
Hi Tigzy ,

I had downloaded the RogueKiller V10 and use it. It is bigger than version 9. The version 10.1.1.0 is still in beta right ?

There seems to be a problem when I tried to delete a registry key. 1st time it had error. Then I rescan RogueKiller, the registry key was gone. Maybe got deleted. I hope it is gone and not hidden.

You can refer to this thread for more info:  http://forum.adlice.com/index.php?topic=334.0

Hello GreatAntiMalwareTool,

Thank you for the quick response and thank you for telling me which one. :) Now, I won't accidentally delete the wrong files.

I have a suggestion for the developer, I suggest changing the completion sentence to either "Please look at the different tabs and uncheck needed items before pressing the delete button." or "Please look at the different tabs and check unneeded items before pressing the delete button." This way it seems more clear. "Please look at the different tabs and check/uncheck needed items before pressing the delete button." is very unclear to which one it exactly is.

Thank you and great work on the program.
You are welcome!  :)

I think your suggestion is good to avoid confusion, especially for newbies who just starting to use RogueKiller.

Hi everyone,  :)

1st of all I want to Thank You Tigzy for his great software. So Curson you are new here too.

I have been studying about malware since last year. In the past, it is only call antivirus. Now it is call antimalware. Nowadays, there are many bad or malicious software, not just virus. That is why it is call anti malware.

I join this forum to ask for advice only. I was working online fulltime last year. This year onwards, I will have to do it as part time for some reasons.

I think it is nice to have a forum like this to help peoples with their malware problems. I hope all of your electronic devices are fix with no more malware. Have a pleasant day!  :D

Haha ;D It works.

The PUM.Proxy seems to be deleted. After I rescan using RogueKiller, the PUM.Proxy is not detected & not listed any longer. It doesn't show up in the RogueKiller registry tab any longer after I scan it. I rescan 2 times just now. Once after I close my web browser. 1 more time after I open my web browser & login here on adlice forum.

Haha :) :D ;D I think my computer is fix & clean now for good! Thank You very much for your help!  ;)

Hi Curson,  :)

Yes of course. My computer was infected by malware last year. I use anti malware programs to scan & quarantine malware. RogueKiller is 1 of the anti malware programs. I use it to get rid of the remaining malware.

I don't use proxy. So I deleted it. But there seems to be a problem. 1 of the PUM.proxy can not be deleted. It written as "ERROR [2]".

[PUM.Proxy] HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings | ProxyServer : 192.168.24.2:8080  -> ERROR [2]

I will try to log out, close my web browser and then try to scan & delete it again.

Thank You for your help!  :D

Hi darthdoull,

This is very simple & straight forward.  :)

Check = delete. Uncheck = don't delete.

The items are not deleted if you don't select it or uncheck it. It will written as "Not selected" in the logs report after you click the delete button. If you leave it check after the scan or if you check it manually, it will be deleted.

Hope this may help.  ;)

RogueKiller / Examine my RogueKiller logs please!
« on: January 05, 2015, 12:44:39 PM »
Hi admin,

This is my 1st time here & I just register for your forum.

I had been using RogueKiller since last year. I think it is amazing because it can remove some malware which other anti malware programs couldn't remove. Some of the malware had been deleted in the past. Some I kept it until today because I am not really sure about it. I didn't removed it because it is in the registry.

Today, I scan using RogueKiller. I found out my computer is pretty much clean. Only with some registry keys or value that I kept and not selected for deletion. I am not sure about it, so I want to ask you about it. Is it safe? Or should I delete them.

MBR Check : Error reading LL2 MBR! ([1] Incorrect function. )
What does it mean? Is anything wrong?

I had attach the logs in the attachment. Can you examine it for me and tell me which one should be deleted. Thank You!  :) Anything I should concern about, please tell me!
