Hi all

I have 2 questions for you

1. On the screenshot Rogue Anti-Malware GUI Bug 140.1 is that so normal by the installer did not Close all the programfiles pleasxe check and fix it

2. On the screenshot Rogue Anti-Malware GUI Bug 140 is that so normal that the box is not fully visible to click that please check and fix it

I have some more bugs fopr you

1 When the language is englisch see my screenshot Rogue Anti-Malware Bug 0145 and when click on Default Settings is this into german language please check and fix see the screenshot Rogue Anti-Malware Bug 0146

2. Is a Translation bug Rogue Anti-Malware german translation Bug 01

Add "Scan with ..." entry in explorer context menu = Fügen Sie im Explorer-Kontextmenü den Eintrag "Scannen mit ..." hinzu

Shell Extension = Shell Erweiterung

3. Is a Translation Bug, too see the screenshot Rogue Anti-Malware german translation Bug 02

Defaultmäßige = Standardmäßige

Hi Mops21,

Thanks for your feedback.

When you update RogueKiller, it's necessary to close it so the installer is able to replace the old files with the new ones. Since version 13.4.0, we added a shell extension to make the user able to scan files from within the context menu, so Explorer must now be restarted as well.
Regarding the German translation, the official translator is a bit behind the schedule. Thoses mistakes will be fixed as soon as possible.

You are very welcome.
Yes, this is normal. Since explorer.exe exits when new RogueKiller updates are installed, your desktop environment will vanish until the end of the installation when the process is restarted.

Hi Mops21,

Explorer should automatically be restarted at the end of the installation.
Is it not the case here ?

Just to be sure : explorer.exe is not restarted at the end of the installation ?
Are the UI elements of Windows (windows, menu, widgets, etc.) not displayed ?

No the Explorer.exe did not start after the install

I use Windows 8.1 64 Bit all is updated

Rogue Anti-Malware 14 Beta Bug 01vom 29.10.2019: Any infos about this available

Rogue Anti-Malware 14 Beta Bug 02: 1. There is no Start the application questions see the Version 13 at the end of installation. 2. Why start thethis after the setup see the image dieser PC

And can you check the Logs for other issues and bugs and errors and problemsd please and fix them please

Hi Mops21,

The issue probably lies in the installer we are currently using.
Could you please manually download the last installer of RogueKiller V14 and run it like this :

setup.exe /LOG="C:\debuginstall.log"

A new file named debuginstall.log will be created at the root of your system drive. Please attach it with your next reply.
This file will contain the details of the operations performed by the installer and will greatly help us understand what is happening.

Hi Mops21,

Sure.

1) Download RogueKiller V14 installer and save it on your Desktop.

2) Launch the command prompt windows (cmd) with admin rights (https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-run-command-prompt-as-an-administrator) and copy/paste the following command :
Code: [Select]
"%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\setup.exe" /LOG="C:\debuginstall.log"
This will launch the installer in debug mode.

3) A new file named debuginstall.log should has been created at the root of your C:\ drive. Please attach it with your next reply.

This is the right file, but the install process completed without any issue, so it's not really useful.
If you encounter the error again, please generate a new debuginstall.log file.

This is an issue on our side. The number is wrong, but it's really the installer for RogueKiller 14.0.0.9.
