Title: Conflict with World Community Grid?
Post by: martincoard on May 08, 2014, 10:48:23 PM
Hello Adlice and thank you for a useful piece of software in RogueKiller. Having run it at the suggestion of Davy Winder (PC Pro, UK edition, July 2014), the software picked up 4 processes which are obviously linked to the running of data under the World Community Grid programme (www.worldcommunitygrid.org). My various computers have contributed nearly 5 years of computing time to their programmes and I don't want to disrupt that.
I have attached a screen-shot of the processes that RogueKiller identified. I assume the software would go ahead and clean these if I proceeded further. This isn't 'Rogue' software, so could you add it to the list of 'descent'' software that RogueKiller ignores?
I'd be interested in your comments.
Best wishes
Martin

Hello
They will be whitelisted, could you provide a text report instead? That's better than copy from a picture

Thanks for the quick response. I've since read your tutorials and understand how the software operates now, so a Report is attached.

The people at World Community Grid are definitely good guys so thank you for listening and for whitelisting them.

Best wishes

Martin
