Title: PUMs - and how to identify whether they are a problem
Post by: ckbeme on August 24, 2016, 10:54:14 PM
Hi group,
Just joined today. I also just finished doing a clean install of Win 10 after being hacked. I ran my AV, Malwarebytes, and RogueKiller  (free version for now) when I got Windows up and running.
The PUM is such a great idea. Your software is just ingenious, and the PUM is the icing on the cake.

I'm pretty sure these are mods I made, but I want to know if you guys can give me some advice on how to confirm that.

Windows always has a lot of things in Startup that aren't needed (at least not for me). So I use Glary Utilities and go through the different sections and disable items that I know I don't need. If I'm unsure whether I need it or not, I just leave it.

But these 2 PUMs are Registry.Policies and I'm not really convinced that the programs I disabled for startup would be in Reg Policies. I'm going to attach the screenshot, and hopefully you guys can give me some hints on how I can figure these out on my own. I don't want to bug you anytime something comes up.

Any help appreciated.
