UCheck / Re: VLC 3.0.14 Update
« on: June 06, 2021, 03:12:14 pm »
Hi Phil,

You are welcome.

For a long time, VLC 64-bit version was only in beta, so I believe UCheck first installed VLC 32-bit when it was the case, then installed the 64-bit version when it went stable.

Anyway, thank for your feedback as always.
Have a great weekend, too.

Regards.

Hi Phil, Tigzy,

It seems that both x86 and x64 version of VLC are installed. Maybe this is the reason why UCheck is confused.
Could you please uninstall VLC x86, then redo a scan with UCheck and see if the issue is still present ?

Regards.

Hi noface,

Sorry for the delay.
I submitted the fix to the person in charge of the integration, but they forget to include it and I didn't saw it.

I only read your message this evening (thank you for reminding me, by the way) and I have asked them to include it ASAP.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards.

RogueKiller / Re: Detecting Deleted File?
« on: May 24, 2021, 03:24:01 am »
Hi BaggotMaggot,

Sorry for the delay.

OK, this makes sense. The first scan removed the file itself, but not the associated task (which was probably protected by the malware). The second scan detected the task itself and removed it successfully this time. The subsequent scan reported nothing, since the file and the task were both removed at this time.

Regards.

Hi BaggotMaggot,

I think there is an issue with RogueKiller.
Our office is closed during the week-end, but we will discuss it with our team at the beginning of next week.

Thanks for your understanding.
Regards.

Hi BaggotMaggot,

Please download SystemLook (x64) and save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click SystemLook_X64.exe to run it.
  • Copy the content of the following codebox into the main textfield:
    Code: [Select]
    :file
    C:\Users\AT_ST\AppData\Local\Temp\System.exe
    • Click the Look button to start the scan.
    • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. Please attach this log in your next reply.
Note: The log can also be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

    Regards.

    Hi fairycn,

We are a small team and sometimes, you will have to wait up to 24 hours before receiving an actual reply.
That's why we decided to send a receive acknowledgment email, so the person is aware that their email was successfully received.

    Regards.

    Hi fairycn,

That makes sense. Most, if not all Google services, are inaccesible from China.
In the future, we will probably move to hCaptcha or host our own anti-bot system.

    Regards.
