RogueKiller PREMIUM / Thi Program has previously crashed
« Last post by RWS on May 19, 2019, 09:00:48 pm »
As far as I know, RogueKiller Premium has not crashed, but I see this annoying message box every time I restart my PC.  I have clicked on 'yes' to send you the details a few times.  Rogue killer works just fine whenever I start it, completes its scan without issues.   How do I get rid of this message?

Hi borkedpc,

Welcome to Forum.
Currently, Adlice Diag does not support this feature. However, a CLI version of the software should be released in the future.

Can Diag be run via command prompt? If not, is it something that will happen soon?
What I would love to do is run the it in the background and export the malicious items found to a text file for review. Is this possible? I could not find any documentation about it like there is for RK.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your feedback.
Do you get an error message when you try to launch RogueKiller ? Does it asks you to submit a crash dump ?

Every few days I run Rogue Killer just as a precaution, only today I run it, and it won't boot to run.  Even tried running as Admin...  I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I get nothing...any ideas...what might be happening...Thanks    Mike

Hi coldi,

Thanks for your feedback.

We were not able to understand why these processes are detected as [Proc.Hidden] for now.
However, this type of detection will be disabled in RogueKiller next release to avoid false positives like the ones you experienced.

Hi there,
I am having a couple recurring detections with the proc.hidden tag. I had the winprvse detection for a while as I have posted a few months ago. Now I occasionally seemingly have additional proc.hidden detections as well. Any idea what these might be?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi adamdevine,

Welcome to Forum.
You need to imput the path where you installed Malwarebytes product in the exclusions settings of RogueKiller so, it won't be detected anymore.

Hi bentaa,

This is indeed a false positive.
RogueKiller is detecting MalwareBytes malware database. This issue has been fixed when MBAM is installed on standard location but we cannot do much to prevent this when the application is located on a custom location.
